Our story

Why we started CEG

We believe the most meaningful work happens when people come together to lift up the community around them.

CEG started with a simple idea: young people can make a real difference when they organize, show up, and work alongside the organizations already doing good in our area. We create opportunities for high school students to serve their communities, connecting our members with meaningful volunteer roles at nonprofits and community events.

From food banks to community gardens to school events, we look for places where an extra set of hands matters, and we measure success by the impact we create for others.

Our work

What we've done through CEG

The organizations and events we've served with across North Texas.

Gala

Metro Relief Gala

At our first Metro Relief gala, CEG volunteers supported the event from setup through teardown. We prepared the venue, welcomed and assisted guests, served dinner, shared information about Metro Relief’s mission, and helped the evening run smoothly from start to finish.

Community garden

St. Arbor Community Garden

CEG volunteers helped maintain and expand St. Arbor Community Garden. We hauled and spread mulch, prepared new planting beds, and cared for the grounds so neighbors have a welcoming place to grow food together.

LPS Fall Carnival

CEG volunteers helped bring Leadership Prep School’s fall carnival to life. We designed and built the haunted hallway, ran game and activity booths, and handled full event setup and teardown so families could enjoy a fun, safe evening together.
